Take advantage of my background, knowledge and experience to achieve your goals. Personal HistoryI'm a Washington native as are my parents. We were all born in Yakima . When I moved to Indianola, in Kitsap County in 1971, it felt like the kind of place I could stay for a while. I began buying real estate shortly after that and have owned 10 properties. As many others have found, real estate was a way of building wealth and stability. In the mid 80s I connected with an excellent architect, Ibsen Nelson, the designer of masterpieces such as the Museum of Flight in Seattle. We worked together to build a couple of homes in Indianola and it fulfilled my desire to build a beautiful, well designed home for my family. I have always enjoyed homes and houses. For 31 years I owned and managed The Watermark, a hand bookbindery that marketed finely crafted blank books nationally. My two sons grew up in the business and, while they are both excellent bookbinders, they have chosen to be artists in other media. Eli is a glassblower in Tacoma and Oscar is a sculptor in Paris. The one thing I am most proud of is my two sons. I've been fortunate to be a parent and have learned more from my sons than from any other thing I've done. I have made many friendships with local Port Townsend artists and you see the result here on NowPortTownsend.com in the Online Gallery with links to the sites of many local artists. Included among them is Martha Worthley, my sweetheart, with whom I live here in Port Townsend. When I needed to change careers I wondered about real estate. I was at first, concerned that my strong values would not be a good match in the business. But once I became part of the John L Scott Port Townsend office it was clear that my values were a positive advantage. I am able to run my independent business, within the context of this great office, and offer my commitment to my clients in a way that is completely natural to me. I look forward to working with you.
